Restoring Dignity Since 1934

PACS exists for those who need help. It also exists for those wanting to help. Be it through financial support or volunteer work, PACS connects individuals who are seeking to make a difference with those who are experiencing need.

Following the example of Jesus, PACS puts a special emphasis on dignity in each area of service. The organization includes the following programs:

Food Pantry (emergency food for low-income families)

Health Clinic (primary health care for people with no insurance)

Thrift Store (low-cost clothing & household items)

Commissioner Fritz to speak at 2012 Awards Dinner & Auction

We are pleased that Portland City Commissioner Amanda Fritz has accepted our invitation to speak at this year's Awards Dinner and Auction. Mrs. Fritz, who is also a mother and a registered nurse, was elected to the City Council in 2008, where she has been an outspoken advocate for underserved neighborhoods in Portland. You can learn more about Commissioner Fritz and her activities on the City Council at her city webpage.

The Awards Dinner & Auction begins at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 14 at the Embassy Suites Hotel by the Portland Aiport (7900 NE 82nd Ave, Portland). It features a silent auction, gourmet meal and awards presentation. The Awards Dinner & Auction is the major informative event of the year for PACS. Last year's dinner raised $86,000 to help needy familes.

PACS is still in need of sponsors and auction items for this event. If you would like to attend or get involved, sponsorships start at $500 and individual reservations are $50 each. Please call us at 503.252.8500 for more information, or check out the info sheet.

Sweet Tomatoes FunRaiser 2012

Our annual Sweet Tomatoes FunRaiser will be from Thursday, July 12 - Sunday, July 22. During that time you can present this flyer when purchasing a meal and a beverage at the Clackamas Sweet Tomatoes, and they will donate 20% of your check to PACS to help needy individuals in the Portland area. Why not take the whole family out and make an even bigger difference for someone in need? Mrs. Fritz will bring a unique viewpoint to the reality of need within our city. We look forward to hearing what she has to say.
